The Pinballs R Us
The Man Cave at Chatswood, Sydney
where the fun with pinballs is taken a bit more seriously.
Here the pinballs are the main thing not just the side show.
Great place to relax.
The proud owners, Howard & Nadia Symington and little Frank.
The team behind it.
This is a great place with a nice warm ambience.
Man Cave Address:
There is no lack of passion for pinball machines. there are thousands of pinball enthusiast world wide and I have the pleasure to meet and share my interest with people who are so keen about pinball machines. But what happened to all the players from the 80s and 90s? Does the general public still know about pinballs nowadays? Do people know that pinballs still exist? You must wonder. I was bemused at the recent two day workshop on troubleshooting pinball machines in the Rydges Hotel Sydney, where several hotel guests peeped into the conference room during the lunch breaks looking pleasantly surprised to see pinball machines and asking "are they coming back?".
Did the pinball world become just a closed club? No wonder if did. It is hard to find a pinball machine to play (no problem to find a poker machine).
Here is the nice story I want to share with you. I recently visited Pinballs R Us in Chatswood, Sydney. Pinballs are back! Pinballs are back for anybody who wants to have fun and play the greatest machines. The latest Stern Avatar or some of the great Williams/Bally pinball titles, Sega pins and more. You will be surprised with the warm and relaxed ambience when you walk in. They call it "Man Cave", it must be the 5 star one. There is nothing like it anywhere. If you're in Sydney go and see it for yourself.
I congratulate the owners Howard & Nadia Symington for showing the way.
They are expanding early next year. Due to its popularity Howard Symington has taken another two shop fronts and is negotiating on an upstairs boardroom. 'we are putting a cinema in the last shop for sports watching functions and the upstairs boardroom will work well for corporate clients wanting to blend work with pleasure' ' the man cave hire has been more popular than expected' says Symington.
Next year- with councils permission, he is looking to hold a weekly 'club players night' where players will be able to come in drink beer and play Pinball. Amongst the line up of Pinballs to play, there will be Monster Bash, Elvis gold, Lord Of The Rings Gold, Spiderman Black, Avatar No.39 limited edition, Ironman and 20 odd other machines to play.
Updated information will be posted on the www.pinballsrus.com.au website.
